Teeth Cleanings
Why do I need regular teeth cleanings and dental exams?
Good oral hygiene not only keeps your smile bright, but is also a vital part of your overall health. New research suggests that gingivitis and periodontal disease are related to heart attack, stroke, and many other health problems. Good home care and regular dental exams can prevent these and many other health problems.
How often should I get my teeth cleaned?
To maintain good oral health, we recommend that you get your teeth cleaned two times per year. During your visit, Dr. Findley and your hygienist will look for signs of problems with your teeth and gums. It is well known that when problems are detected early, they are a lot easier and less expensive to fix and have a much better long-term prognosis. If it has been longer than six months since you have seen a dentist, more time may be required to thoroughly clean your teeth.
